Kate Bates is originally from Westchester, N.Y, but has lived with her husband in Darien for eight years. She is a Realtor whose expertise is working with first-time homebuyers and families that have outgrown their starter homes and need more space.
Bates began her career in real estate after having her first child in Darien. Her mother was a realtor in Scarsdale, so Bates knows the business well.
She is currently working with Departure Films to shoot a few luxury real estate and luxury building shows with VAS Construction for HGTV network. They have been filming in Darien since last April.
She and her husband have three daughters, and Bates is very involved in their schools. The family lives and plays at the Darien beaches for most of the year, where Bates said, they have made some of their best friends in the community.
